Baby-Step Scrapping....

Good morning everyone. I squeezed a little scrap time in last night and was able to get ONE layout done (baby-step scrapping). Like many of you, my scrapping ebbs and flows with the activity of my family and my exhaustion. LOL I can't tell you how happy my creative side is to be crafting again, even if it's not a whole bunch!

This layout is on my son again. I just love scrapping him. Everything is so intense for him and I get wrapped into his play. Having a 5 year old ASD child is definitely a handful, but watching his pure wonder at the little things in life always amazes and makes me pause from my hectic life.

I hope you like it.

I was inspired by the following blogs and used this layout for their challenges:

Colorful Creations - Marci's E Challenge - tag EAUG
Sketches4All - Let's Get Cooking Week 3 Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by. Don't forget to find that time to create - even if it's only in baby-steps! God bless.

Coffee + Sleeping Kids = Some Scrap Time!

Okay, so I can't believe I'm actually posting more work - two days in a row!!! Yowza! That means I must have had time to scrap. Yes! I did! I ended up having coffee after dinner and everyone fell asleep early (even hubby), so Momma got her scrap on! I was able to do two layouts for the Sketches4All Blog. You really should go check out there challenges. They're so much fun!

This layout is about my oldest daughter's first soccer game of the season (last year). She's such a go-getter!

This layout is just about the kids and I having a grand, old time this summer in our new pool. Very refreshing!

Well, I hope you like them. If you're a busy mom like me, and you find some time to scrap, if the spirit moves you, then go get crafty!

God bless!

FINALLY! Some Scrap Time!

Well hello everyone! It's been a while since I've been able to scrap and post anything. Seems like the spirit is willing, but my scrap time is not. Like you, I have had my hands full with summer adventures and fun. I did get to squeak in a day of scrapping last weekend, so I'm really excited to share my ecclectic layouts, all inspired by various blogs I follow. I hope you like them.

This one is about my 5 year old ASD son, John. He found such joy in his little pool, I just had to capture his happiness.

I used this layout for the following blogs:
About a Boy Week 2 - Anything Goes
Sketches4All - Stacy's Stash Chall - I used misting (though most of it is covered up! LOL)

This next one, was my girls and nephews having their very first nerf gun war. They had a blast.

I used this layout for the Sketches4All blog, specifically, Libby's Monthly Challenge to use kraft paper.

Another layout of my special Johnny. I was doing laundry and of all the places to sit, he had to climb up on my piles of folded clothes and made himself comfortable, ergo the title.

This layout was so much fun to make. I used it for the following blogs:
Sketches4All, Cheryl's Chall #22 - using fussy cutting
About a Boy, Wk 2 - Anything Goes Challenge

Here's a fun and silly layout with 2 of my girls. They are partners in crime, and in fun. I call them Fric and Frac since they usually team up to do everything - personal shows, playing school, getting into trouble - you name it! It's always an adventure with those two!

This fun layout was used for the Sketches4All blog, specifically Rachelle's Busy Scrapper Challenge for August.

Well that's it for now. I hope to get a little more scrapping done soon. Thanks for looking and God bless!

50th Jubilee...

Here's a card I made for my parents to celebrate a family friend's 50th anniversary in the priesthood. My parents loved it and I hope Father John does too!

I used sketch #300 from the Mojo Monday blog and the stamps are from Our Daily Bread.

God bless!

Happy Boy

Just wanted to share a layout I did recently for some blogs I participate in. It's so nice to be scrapping again. I hope I can keep it up!

God bless!

About A Boy Chevron Challenge: ' Happy Monday everyone, its time for another About A Boy challenge.  One of the scrapbooking "raves" right now are chevrons.  So we would like you to great a layout using Chevrons.  Remember boys only.  You can have a photo with a boy and his mother or grandmother if need be.

Another year... another try!

Okay, so blogging is ALOT harder than I thought it would be. I've realized that time management is not my strong suit and so it is one of the several "must do's" on my New Year's Resolution list for good old 2013.

Anyhoo... I've decided to try to mix things up a little and introduce a sketch every Sunday. These sketches will be created by me, along with an example. I hope this gets my creative juices going again since my scrapping has fallen to the wayside for the past several months. It's so easy to let "life" stop you from getting creative, so I've made my sketches simple and clean so they're easy to follow. If I can scrap them, then so can you!

Here's hoping 2013 get's my scrapping spirit going again and you inspired as well!

God bless!

Marilyn

Sketch #1

I used Close to My Heart's Avonlea Paper Packet for this classic double layout. Enjoy!
